BIOFUELS RESEARCH
LABORATORY

The bench-scale reactor is employed for the evaluation of process parameters, catalysts, and raw materials.
A further objective of the laboratory is the implementation of quality control procedures for both feedstocks and final products.

LABORATORY INSTRUMENTS

The laboratory is equipped with instruments that enable comprehensive quality control. Laboratory equipment such as a gas chromatograph with MS/FID/TCD detectors, a distillation analyzer, an XRF analyzer, a density meter, a Karl-Fischer titrator, a viscosity bath, and other analytical devices allows for the determination of biofuel and feedstock parameters, facilitating the optimization of process conditions.

LAB REACTOR

The bench-scale reactor is used to evaluate various process parameters, catalysts, and raw materials.

Reactor parameters:

  • maximum temperature: 380 °C

  • maximum pressure: 10 bar

  • integrated distillation system and condensers

  • auxiliary equipment for the biofuel production process (biomass feeder, activated carbon unit, filtration system, collection vessel)
